Atefeh Farajolahzadeh is an Iranian immigrant visual artist who employs photography, video, installation, and writing in her work. She currently works on a project that explores the idea of being elsewhere and the psychology of being in-between places. Her work oscillates between abstraction and representation, fiction and non-fiction. Atefeh holds an MFA in photography from Columbia College Chicago, where she was a recipient of the Graduate Fellowship. Her work has been selected for Ground Floor 2020, Hyde Park Art Center’s biennial exhibition, Chicago; SPACES, Cleveland; Filter Photo, Chicago; Ohio University Art Gallery; among others.
