Carrie Moyer is a painter who currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. She received her MFA from the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College in 2001, and her BFA from the Pratt Institute in 1985. She also attended the New York Institute of Technology, where she received her MA in Computer Graphic Design, and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She has been the recipient of many awards, grants, and fellowships, including an Independent Artist Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts in 2001, a Creative Capital Foundation Grant in 2000, the Anonymous Was A Woman Award in 2009, and a Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant in 2009. She has experience as both a curator and teacher, having taught at institutions including Rhode Island School of Design, the Pratt Institute, and the Skowhegan School of Art. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
