Cedric Christie

Cedric Christie was born in 1962 in London, England where he currently lives and works. He has exhibited extensively in the US, England and internationally, with his most recent solo exhibit in 2011, Color Movement, at Flowers, NY. Christie has been a visiting professor at Bath Spa University since 2012. Previously he has lectured and instructed at Brighton Art School, Oxford University Ruskin School of Art, Wolverhampton University, Richmond Fine Art Adult Education Centre, Thurrock College of Art, and the University of Wisconsin. He has also curated many projects, including Echo From the age that I was able to see it sequence, Koraalberg Gallery (2010), Something I don't do, Flowers East, London (2009), The Blank Canvas Project, The Big Chill Festival, Herefordshire (2009), Oysters Ain't - V22 Presents: The Sculpture Show, The Biscuit Factory, London (2009), and Presque Rien II, Laure Genillard Gallery, London (2008). Christie was selected for the Schaufenster Berlin Residency, Artoll Art Lab Clinic Bedburg-hau, Germany, in 2012. His works are included in the collections at David Roberts Arts Foundation, Anita Zabludowicz Collection, Land Securities, Unilever, Bupa, Derwent Valley Holdings plc / Colebrook Estates Ltd, Brown Rudnick Freed & Gesmer, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, and Heron plc. Christie is represented by Flowers Galleries and Galerie Frederic Desimple, Brussels.
