Claudia Djabbari, born in 1976 in Munich, is a German-Iranian who lives and works in London, England. She received her MFA in 2009 from Goldsmiths, University of London. She also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany as a Master Student under Professor Olaf Metzel, from 2000-2006 and Mozarteum University of Salzburg, Austria, from 1998-2000. In 2012, Djabbari received a Travel Grant from the German Embassy, Cyprus. She has exhibited four solo shows at Window Space, London (2014); Tenderpixel Gallery, London (2014); Haleh Gallery, Starnberg (2012); and Waterside Contemporary, London (2012). She has also participated in numerous international group exhibitions in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Cyprus, the United States of America, Canada, Japan, Montenegro, and the Czech Republic. Djabbari has been featured in many publications, including BBC 2 Newsnight, the New York Times and Artforum International.
