Dana Levy was born in Tel Aviv she lives and works in New York. She holds an MA in Electronic Imaging from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art Dundee and a BA from Camberwell College of Art, London. In 2013 she was awarded the Betrice Kolliner Award from the Israel Museum, in 2010 she won the Dumbo Arts Festival best studio award, and the Young Israeli Artist Award in 2008.

She has had solo shows at The Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv in 2012, Loop Art Fair Barcelona 2012, Ron Mandos gallery in 2012, Nicelle Beauchene Gallery in NYC 2010, Habres and Partner Gallery in Vienna 2009, Tavi Dresdner Gallery Tel Aviv 2008, Rosenfeld Gallery Tel Aviv 2004, Haifa Museum of Art Israel 2004. Selected group exhibitions include The Compromised Land: The Neuberger Museum 2013, NY curated by Lilly Wei and Helaine Posner at the Neuberger Museum 'Unnatural'- Bass museum Miami, FL curated by Tami Ketz Frieman (2012), Magic Lantern: Recent Acquisitions in Contemporary Art , Israel Museum Jerusalem; 'Lush Life', Invisible Exports NYC (2010) curated by Omar Lopez-Chahoud and Franklin Evans, Museum on the Seam, Jerusalem (2006, 2010), "Open Plan Living" Helena Rubinstein Pavillion Tel Aviv (2008) curated by Andrew Renton.

Her films have been screened at various Film Festivals including : Tribeca Film Festival; Rotterdam Film Festival; Hamburg Short Film Festival (where she won the Jury award in 2006); Oberhausen festival; Impakt Festival, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid; Chicago Underground Film Festival and many others. Her work is in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem collection, The Petach Tikva museum collection, The Donald Rothfeld Museum collection at the America University in Washington and other private collections.
