website

Diane is a painter from Hinckley, Ohio who was born in Zvjerinac, a small village in the former Yugoslavia. She moved with her family to the United States when she was three years old. She became passionate about making art in high school and went on to receive her BFA in drawing at the Cleveland Institute of Art and her MFA in painting at Kent State University in 1991. Since then, her work has been shown nationally, primarily in the Midwest. She has work in numerous public and private collections, with a notable commission in the Acme Corporation with a display of work at Acme store #1 in Akron, Ohio. Also, her design was chosen for a US Postal Service Postmark America stamp in Hinckley. She was also a 2017 recipient of the Ohio Arts Council Grant. Through her work, Diane seeks to create work through the familiar and encourages a further exploration of our human experience.
