African American film photographer, Kenyatta Crisp began his study in photography in 2012. Currently, he owns Crisp Photography Ltd, and is the curator behind 28karatblack. 28karatblack was created to not only showcase his photography, but to also highlight black artistry within the pages of books he collects. His range in photography consists of portraiture, glamour, and film photography, both personal and conceptual. As an experienced collaborator, he seeks the opportunity to work with various artists across the region on creative projects. His work often reflects the inner city aesthetic and Black/African American art culture. Artist like Gordon Parks and Jamel Shabazz have influenced his portraiture elements and his attention to detail. His more recent work has focused on women of color and black women empowerment which was highlighted in his project titled "Divine". To view some of his work visit www.28karatblack.com.
