Marcia Custer is an interdisciplinary Cleveland artist and a part of the collaorative work Two Divorced Moms, along side Ben Oblivion. As their characters, Deb and Peg, Custer and Oblivion create genre-bending works of live performance. Most popular for their universally beloved talk show/variety hour, The Moms are part sketch comedy, part cathartic emotional outpouring, and all fun. Incorporating video, performance, sculpture, improvisation, and interpretive dance, Two Divorced Moms exaggerates contemporary American Society’s insidious ideals of gender performance and consumer culture.
