Ogechi was awarded the Best Experimental Film at Through Her Eyes Film Festival, New York in 2006. She received her MFA in Computer Art from The School of Visual Arts in 2006 and her BA in Electronic Studio Art from Howard University in 2003. She was awarded the Harvestworks VanLier Residency for New Media Works in 2007. Chieke is currently the director for Chiagoziem Visions.
