Ravit Mishli was born in Kirya Haim in 1975. She lives and works in Tel Aviv. Mishli studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, and holds both a BFA (2004) and a MFA(2010) with honors from this establishment.
Mishli artistic interest is by dealing with craftsmanship and "DIY" esthetics, kitsch, pop culture and nostalgia images, which stand beside use of daily, imitating, cheap materials, which only serve as a replacement for the 'Real Thing'. She often uses them to feedback the power display representations by Israeli society and culture, as can be seen in her works from recent years, A Monument for the Joy of Victory, Pick-Up, Slik, Happynation and the Pigeon Removal Center.
