Richard Garrison was born and raised in Albany, NY and received his BS in Studio Art from the College of Saint Rose, Albany in 1993 and an MFA from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY in 1995. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Mass MoCA, North Adams, MA and the Queens Museum of Art. He lives and maintains his studio in Delmar, NY.
Garrison's works consider elements of contemporary consumerism as well as "big box" landscape. Garrison is currently working on his Circular Color Scheme, a series of drawings that serve as abstractions of advertised items.
Garrison participated in Topographic at Spaces in 2005.

All visitors are recommended to wear masks and social distance from staff and other guests. SPACES is located close to the 26, 76, and 81 bus stops, as well as the Red Line Rapid station. Street parking is available throughout Hingetown, as are bike racks. We are wheelchair accessible throughout the galleries.
