Robert Goodman earned his MFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, in 2004 and his BFA in Painting from The Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland, OH, in 2002. He also studied at Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, for a year. Goodman has exhibtied at Seraphin Gallery, The Galleries at Moore, Urban Outfitters Headquarters and Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia, PA, as well as Emory and Henry College, Emory, VA. He has also participated in numerous group exhibtions and projects, including at The Elkins Estate, Elkins Park, PA, Rutgers University, Camden, NJ, Anna Kustera Gallery, New York, NY, and ZG Gallery, Chicago, IL, among others. In 2012, he curated Let's Go Enjoy Nature at Seraphin Gallery in Philadelphia, PA.
Goodman was the 2013 Soaring Gardens Artist in Residence, Laceyville, PA and has been awarded the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship for Painting, the Temple University Fellowship, and the Ted Frost Traveling Award. He is currently a chairman for the Fine Arts and Photography & Digital Arts department at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, PA, where he was previously an adjunct professor in the Fine Arts, Foundations and Graduate departments. He was also an adjunct professor at Tyler School of Art at Temple University and the University of the Arts. Goodman's works exist in the public collections of the Woodmere Art Museum and William Way Center.
