Susan Donovan Lowe is a visual artist, primarily a painter, currently exploring the media of paper making, letterpress and mixed media. As a longtime member of 40th Street Studio and City Artists at Work, she has both studied and taught art
(painting, drawing, and visual arts) in Northeast Ohio.Her teaching experience includes Lake Erie College, Kent State University, and various Montessori classrooms. Susan was awarded an Ohio Board of Regents Fellowship to pursue her graduate studies after earning her BFA in painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She received an MFA in painting and a teaching assistantship at KSU. Susan's work has been shown extensively including Gallery W at American Greetings, CIA Alumni Shows, LEC Faculty Shows, and AAWR exhibitions where she received the People's Choice award at the 2018 NewNow exhibition. In 2025 she was the visiting artist at Shoreham Art Gallery in Sussex, England.
