Three new members join the SPACES Board of Directors

Posted in Category General

The SPACES Board of Directors appointed three new members at its December 15th meeting. Joining the board are Lisa Holly, Eric Rippert, and David Tarditi. "All three of our new Board members bring the kind of enthusiasm and advocacy for the organization that has always been prevalent on the SPACES board," said Christina Vassallo, SPACES Executive Director.

Lisa Holly, President & CEO of Berea Moving & Storage and Wood-Lee International Art Handler, has been a longtime supporter of SPACES. In 2011 her company donated to SPACES the transportation of Steve Lambert's Capitalism Works for Me! sign across town. Berea Moving & Storage was also essential to the success of William Pope L.'s SWAP project, Pull!, by storing the truck in its climate-controlled warehouse, giving the truck a full tune up, reconstructing elements of the pull bar, and recruiting participants from its staff.

Eric Rippert is a visual artist working with photography to create beautiful, yet often unsettling imagery intended to stimulate collective memory while asking the viewer to help complete a merely suggested narrative. He has shown his work internationally, with solo exhibitions at Maria Neil Art Project, Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art (now MOCA Cleveland) and Progressive Art Collection, along with curated shows at Cleveland Museum of Art, Minnesota Center for Photography, Erie Art Museum, and Ludwig Museum in Budapest, Hungary. Eric's work resides in the permanent collections of Cleveland Museum of Art, Columbus Museum of Art, Progressive Art Collection and Cleveland Clinic, as well as a permanent site-specific artwork for the Cleveland Innerbelt Project Mural Art Program. He has been an ardent supporter of and collaborator with SPACES, having contributed to numerous annual benefits and participated in SPACES projects, including Plum Academy (2009), Experimental Music & Massage (2011), and The Vault (2011 & 2014).

David Tarditi is an accomplished executive and business leader who identifies teams and business models that have the opportunity to disrupt the markets they serve. David leads and creates executive teams by clearly defining a business strategy and model that allows them to focus on the tactical execution of financial, operational, sales, business development, marketing, and product development activities to take a commanding position in their marketplace. His insights and guidance are critical accelerators in the growth and transformation of a business, leading to significant value creation. As the new Treasurer on the SPACES Board of Directors, David will work with staff and board to establish financial objectives and foster growth for the organization.
