We are pleased to welcome Megan Young to the SPACES team, as our new Project Coordinator. Megan has been a part of the SPACES family since 2016-as a participating artist in The First 100+ Days exhibition, (p)SPACE presenting artist, and as a champion of all things experimental. In her new official role at SPACES, Megan will support the SWAP residency program and other initiatives for local, national, and international artists. Megan is an interdisciplinary artist, curator, and educator with a background in arts management and nonprofit administration. She has supported exhibitions, performances, and outreach activities for Kent State University, Columbia College Chicago, Chicago Arts District and other MidWest organizations. She holds an MFA in interdisciplinary arts and media from Columbia College Chicago and a BFA in choreography from Ohio University. Her individual practice has been supported through exhibition and residencies with Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology at Connecticut College, International Symposium of Electronic Art (ISEA), City of Chicago DCASE, and SiTE:LAB at ArtPrize. Megan has been awarded two Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards and a 2016 Creative Workforce Fellowship. Come meet Megan at SPACES this Saturday! Bring your kids (ages 6+) to ACR related workshops at noon and 1:10pm (registration suggested).
