Laila Voss

Laila Voss is an artist and educator who has devoted a career to the cultural vitality of the Northeastern Ohio region in multiple ways. She has served on non-profit boards, designed community art parks and gardens, taught at elementary through higher education institutions, managed art departments, curated and juried exhibitions, and converted an Ohio City school building into artists' studio-living lofts.

Since stepping into the Executive Director role at Art House. Inc. in 2016, the organization has received 5 awards, more than doubled its revenue and the visual arts programming provided for organizations, schools, and at the Art House studio. In addition, a long standing vision to expand the AH campus has been realized under her leadership.

Laila’s artwork has been featured in important cultural institutions and is held in major collections including the Akron Art Museum and the Progressive Collection. She has received numerous awards, such as: the City of Cleveland Volunteer of the Year Award; the Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence and artist residency awards in the U.S. and abroad. Laila maintains a studio practice in the Collinwood Arts District in Cleveland, Ohio. Recent exhibitions include the 2022 CAN Triennial: You Are Here/An Excavation of Sorts, the Yards Duo Show, and Yards III.
