International artists Yuka Oyama, and Axel Ruoff Want to Bake You a Cake
AT SPACES
Oyama and Ruoff are at SPACES as part of the SWAP program. They are interested in questions of obsessive identification with objects, and images.
They need YOUR stories, objects and images.
On October 12, you are invited to come to SPACES to meet the artists, have some cake, and share images that have special meaning to you, and objects that you wear to give you an identity. These can be in any format: photo, postcard, drawings, paintings, or the objects themselves.
During their time in Cleveland Ruoff and, Oyama will create an installation based on the collected stories, drawings, photographs, etc? that you the participant have contributed for their exhibition, opening November 15, 2013.
This is a chance for you to meet with the artists, have a dialogue, see where their ideas and your obsessions intersect.
Oh yeah, and have some CAKE!
