Drawing inspiration from the empty storefronts left in the wake of the 2008 world economic crisis, Theodoros Stamatogiannis portrays a metaphor of how cities ebb and flow through time in his large-scale installation, I AM GOAT STAINS ON THE DOORS. Using simple building materials as a base, he has spent his two-month residency at SPACES mixing formal clues from multiple sources to create the pieces in the gallery.
Join us on January 31st, from 2 - 4 pm, to meet the artist and hear about his inspiration and how he molded the idea into this artwork.
