SPACE FORCE

Join ATNSC: Center for Healing & Creative Leadership at SPACES for a review of "Space Traders"(1994) based on the short story from the late Derrick Bell. In exchange for all citizens who have a high amount of melanin in their skin, the US government is asked to remove or trade all of their Black citizens in order to receive alien technology and resources to solve all of the pressing challenges of the nation.

Derrick Bell's short story was adapted for television in 1994 by Reginald Hudlin and Trey Ellis.

In 2012, this HBO segment was "reviewed" to critique President Barack Obama and his affiliations with the likes of the father of critical race theory Derrick Bell and civil rights activist and clergymen Jeremiah Wright.

Today, we will review this morality tale and farce with popcorn made in the A Color Removed kitchen sprinkled with zaataar, furikake and other notoriously smuggled in movie spices.

A discussion will follow facilitated by M. Carmen Lane, founder and director of ATNSC: Center for Healing & Creative Leadership and one of five artists in A Color Removed.
