As part of CSU's Crossing Over Symposium, Cigdem Slankard presents Breaking Bread. A virtual reality documentary exploring the multifaceted stories of refugee communities who have recently arrived in Cleveland.
Breaking Bread is supported by the SPACES Urgent Art Fund and by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.

Cigdem Slankard
Cigdem Slankard is an Assistant Professor of Film, Television and Interactive Media at Cleveland State University. She was born and raised in Turkey and received her BA in translation and interpreting from Bogazici University (Istanbul, Turkey) in 1999. She first came to the United States in 1998 to study film...
