6:30-7:30pm on Jitsi (Video Meeting)

$5 Suggested Donation (Donate Here)

Movers of all skill levels and abilities are welcome. You will need a clear space plus either a computer, phone, or tablet to participate. This video meet-up will use Jitsi and if you are using a phone or tablet, you'll need to download that application.

It is recommended that participants wear skirts as Caribbean folk dance involves heavy use of skirt movement. The skirts can be below the knees or long (preferably) and loose.

This workshop will start with a warm up consisting of a simple series inspired by the combination of fluidity and isolations of Caribbean movement. We will then learn basic Afro-Caribbean phrases which will focus on grounding, core work, footwork, energy and dynamic. This is a time for joyful moving together.
