Sustainability Expo and Artisan Sale
Saturday, August 16, 2025 | 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Join us for a day of shared learning, artisan + farm sales, and artist talks.
Join us at SPACES for an afternoon celebrating sustainability, creativity, and community at the Sustainability Expo & Artisan Sale. This free, family-friendly event highlights the inspiring environmental work happening across Northeast Ohio.
Shop local with a curated selection of handmade goods and fresh, locally grown produce, and learn about sustainable practices from a range of environmental organizations—including a special presentation from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD).
Don’t miss the chance to meet the LAKE ERIE LEAGUE—a bold new team of comic book-style "sewer-heroes" created by NEORSD to educate and inspire the next generation. Conceived by NEORSD’s Communications team and brought to life by local artist Miguel Hernandez and writer Joe Sieracki, this team of eight dynamic characters represents real-life environmental challenges tackled by NEORSD every day: pollution, erosion, flooding, maintenance, and more.
From tunnels and treatment plants to science labs and fieldwork, heroes like Mackenzie, Vis, Dr. Tau, Spectra, Botanica, Rover, Overwatch, and Carl the Cuyahoga Creature are featured in an upcoming comic book launching this summer. Catch a sneak peek of their origin stories and see how these creative characters bring clean water work to life.
Whether you're a sustainability enthusiast, curious about local food systems, or just looking for a fun afternoon out, this event is for you. Admission is free and open to all.
This event is generously supported by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.
