Trátame suavemente, a screening of experimental animation in Latin America presented by Render Me Softly Festival and Porosa Animación. Join us on April 16th from 7:00-8:15 PM at the Cleveland Cinematheque.

A fuzzy contour that delineates the body from the rest of the world, the tenderness of matter held in open palms, the haze of soft pastel on paper. Featuring handmade and digitally rendered films, these works blur the boundaries of traditional animation. Presenting filmmakers from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Chile.

This screening is part of Render Me Softly, a pop-up animation festival in Cleveland, OH. Organized by Laura Camila Medina and supported through SPACES’ Satellite Fund, the festival highlights themes of tenderness, transformation, and becoming through screenings, workshops, and dialogue.
