Yelaine Rodriguez, Film still from Miss Doc, 2024
Join us at SPACES to celebrate the culminating exhibition, A Black Prayer, by Artist-in-Residence, Yelaine Rodriguez! Collaborating with a range of community partners including BRICK Ceramic + Design Studio, Cleveland Public Library, Cleveland Print Room and Western Reserve Historical Society, Rodriguez premiers a re-envisioning of previous work, alongside a newly created ceramic work and short film. Grounded in preserving and caring for histories of Black people, the installation is situated within an expanded discourse on resistance, coded communication, interracial allyship, and collective liberation.
