SPACES is being invaded by protesting ants, politicians, and early renaissance paintings that take selfies and eat hot dogs. In this collection of .gifs and video works, the artists have introduced a humorous element to an otherwise serious situation, achieving an unsettling effect.
Launch the Invasion
SPACES encourages you, yes YOU, to add to the digital takeover with .gifs and videos that use humor as a way to elicit a response. We've started with .gifs and videos by El Daino (Dan Torres), Scorpion Dagger (James Kerr), and Sholim (Milos Rajkovic), and we'd like for you to send in your own digital works during the run of the show. Each week we'll upload the latest contributions so that the collection grows, develops and gets even freakier.
Send files to Marilyn Simmons (msimmons@spacesgallery.org), along with the title of the work and the year in which it was made.
