The delivery of information increasingly favors speed over accuracy. So we're not always getting the full picture when it comes to how we're perceiving it for the first time. These videos explore ways we interpret information through storytelling, performance or visual cues.

Christina Corfield

Christina is a British-born video artist and media scholar currently finishing her PhD in the Film and Digital Media department at UC Santa Cruz. Alison O'Daniel

Combining film, performance, sculpture, and installation, Alison O'Daniel structures her work as a call-and-response between mediums. Cinema, performance, sound-dampening textiles, sculptures, mobiles and large-scale installations foreground the deaf and hard of hearing experience through process, collaboration, and material.
