Alicia Grullón is an artist from New York in virtual residence at SPACES. She is looking for participants in and around the Cleveland area and the broader Midwest to conduct virtual interviews for her project regarding the upcoming presidential election. VIrtual Interview appointments will be scheduled with the artist through https://calendly.com/spaces-election2020/spaces-studio-hours-interviews and conducted via Jitsi at a secure server and online multi-platform for voice and video-conferencing. The interviews will become the premise of a series of performances on video where Grullón will re-enact stories shared with her. The performances will be a part of her solo exhibition at SPACES in 2021.
Grullón is a multidisciplinary artist who uses video, photography, social sculpture and performance to bring attention to issues like immigration, climate change, and racial and economic disparities.
