Cleveland, OH, August 3, 2011-Don your crowns and grab your scepters-SPACES stages another raucous annual benefit and art auction with a tip of the tiara to pop royalty. Whether you're a pop chart princess, a carbonated king, Orville Redenbacher's heir-apparent, or the Roy(alty) of Lichtenstein, this is the glitz and glamour that you're looking for.

Starting at 7:00 p.m. A-List VIPs will enjoy an all-access backstage pass where all the M&Ms are brown, all the ice is cubed, and the bar is open. VIPs also enjoy a Buy-It-Now option on artwork all night long and get a 1 hour head start on those in General Admission to assure that they walk home with the prizes in their sites. For the rest of the evening, VIPs can slip behind the velvet ropes for catered refreshments, private performances, and to redeem their drink tickets for signature libations.

Pop tarts, Warhol superstars, and anyone with a sequined glove can join the General Admission party at 8 p.m. for fantastic auction art, cash bar, finger foods, live music, and dancing until 1 a.m. They can also enjoy the comedic art stylings of Brian Sabalausky's performance art talk show, Late Night with SPACES O'Brian.

The party continues at 10 p.m. with Late Night with SPACES O'Brian's live musical act. Also enjoy celebrity interviews, art in the 12x12 (a buy-it-now section where all work is $75 and 12" x 12" or smaller), dancing and a cash bar until 1 a.m.

This benefit honors Howard Freedman and Rita Montlack, longstanding supporters of SPACES and pillars of the Cleveland art community. Howard was a SPACES board member for 17 years, 9 of which he served as board president. Rita is an artist whose work has been exhibited around the country and maintains a strong presence in Northeast Ohio. SPACES is very grateful for their years of support and hopes you will join us in honoring their contributions to SPACES and the region.

All proceeds from the evening go towards keeping SPACES the resource and public forum for artists who explore and experiment. SPACES is a 501(c)(3). Ticket purchases and sponsorships are partially tax deductible as allowed by law.
