Cleveland, OH, August 17, 2012-On Saturday, November 3rd, SPACES throws "Polkapocalypse"—the benefit party to end all parties (because this is the end of the world, after all)! All proceeds from the evening go towards ensuring SPACES remains the resource and public forum for artists who explore and experiment.

Imagine a barren landscape of crumbling edifices marked only by ghostly zombie couples dancing the oom-pah-pah, the haunting and eerie strains of a distant accordion in 3/4 time, and a pulsing, yet faint, electric light emanating from SPACES. Welcome to the Polkapocalypse!

Starting at 7 p.m. VIPs will enjoy an all-access backstage pass to a polka-dot wasteland. VIPs also enjoy a Buy-It-Now option on artwork all night long and get an hour head start on those in General Admission to assure that they walk home with the prizes in their sites. For the rest of the evening, VIPs can slip behind the velvet ropes for catered refreshments, private performances, and to redeem their drink tickets for signature libations.

Mayan prognosticators, survivalists and undead accordion players holding General Admission tickets can join the party at 8 p.m. for fantastic auction art, cash bar, finger foods, live music, and dancing until 1 a.m.

The party continues at 10 p.m. with a live musical act. General Admission ticket holders that join the party at 10 p.m. will enjoy celebrity interviews, art in the 12x12 auction (a buy-it-now section where all work is $75 and 12"12" or smaller), dancing and a cash bar until 1 a.m.

This benefit honors John C. Williams, former Board President of SPACES, animal lover, musician, art collector, and founder of Process Creative Studios. SPACES hopes you will join us in honoring him for all of his contributions to our region's arts and culture and for being an all around great guy,
