A program of new music to be presented on October 19, 27 and 29.

Cleveland, Ohio—No Exit will be kicking off it's fourth season by presenting a program of world premiere music at some of the ensemble's favorite venues. No Exit's artistic director Timothy Beyer says that, " Clevelanders are really fortunate to have places like SPACES and Heights Arts. Aside from their obvious function in presenting things from the visual art world, they make it possible for performance groups like ours to bring what we do to the public in a way that I don't think is possible at the more traditional concert venues. And of course, we [No Exit] get to perform at some really cool places that provide a very different sort of experience than the traditional concert hall environment would allow."

No Exit continues to focus their efforts on presenting the work of living composers. The October concerts will feature a new composition - that was commissioned by the group - from New York composer David Glaser. Beyer remarks, "It's such a great piece. David's work is really quite sublime. This is what a composer who's truly masterful at what he does sounds like."

Also on the program are newly commissioned works by Cleveland-based artist Chris Auerboch-Brown, who wrote a two movement piece for the ensemble, and a young composer at the beginning of her career, Dorian Neuendorf. Rounding things out, No Exit pianist Nicholas Underhill will be playing selections from the not-so-new masterpiece, Out of Doors by Bela Bartok.

Beyer commented that, "We [No Exit] strive to put together programs that are diverse, but are always mindful that there has to be a connectedness between all of the pieces. While it can be very interesting to be eclectic, the program always has to work as a whole experience."

All performances are free and open to the public (see times and dates below).
