How do you escape a mob of polkaholic zombies, doing a bloodthirsty oom-pah-pah rampage in three-quarter time?
You don't.
Just embrace the Polkapocalypse and dance along.
Yeow, it's the annual benefit bash at Spaces, 2200 Superior Viaduct, Cleveland. Each year, the artist-run space throws a soiree that's an excuse to party in a kooky outfit.
This year, "Polkapocalypse" encourages people to don attire appropriate for dancing to accordions at the end of the world.
It starts at 8 p.m. Saturday and costs $45. The VIP portion starts at 7 p.m. and costs $135. There's also a 10 p.m. entry that fetches $10 and features a live band. Call 216-621-2314. Or go to spacesgallery.org.
