The Plain Dealer | Lynn Ischay | June 09, 2013
Christine Blankenship of North Royalton signs her name next to a 20 year old picture of herself on the side of the PULL! truck. Blankenship worked as an administrative assistant at Pioneer Electronics at the time. Nearly 200 Clevelanders signed up to pull the eight ton truck through city neighborhoods this weekend. They pulled and tugged, taking PULL!, the community performance art piece by William Pope L., and it's dialog about work, from North Collinwood to Ohio City by way of Hough, Asia Town, Parade the Circle and the west side. The 25 mile performance ended with a celebration at Market Square with the artist, political leaders, music and performances from Passport Project dancers.
