Cool Cleveland | Martin Bielat | March 25, 2014
Art like you have never seen. SPACES welcomed its new SWAP participant Pavlina Mladenova this week, and all the way from Bulgaria. Mladenova is new to Cleveland, and will be staying in town for the next three months working on art projects with the gallery. CoolCleveland correspondent Marty Bielat got to sit down with the artist and pick her brain about her past, her present and future.
"Mladenova is unlike any artist I have ever encountered," said Bielat, in reference to her unique style of analytical research that goes into her art work. Mladenova told CoolCleveland about one of her previous projects she conducted while residing in South Korea. The concept of the project was about an individual's first contact with art, and art's prevalence in South Korean society. The work was analytical, interesting, and at some points, overwhelming. Mladenova's unique analytical approach to art is refreshing, and shall lead to an amazing finished project.
For more news make sure that you stay tuned to the artist, SPACES, as well as CoolCleveland. Mladenova has already started working on her project, and told CoolCleveland a little bit about her ideas off the record. We can't divulge any of the information, since it is still in its formation stage, but we wouldn't want to ruin the surprise anyway. No spoilers! Good luck Pavlina!
