CLEVELAND, Ohio ? Public transit in Cleveland falls flat, according to long-time rider Marvetta Rutherford.
Rutherford, who lives in the Fairfax/Kinsman area of the east side, is the subject of the second installment of The Fixers ? a film series that explores how residents would market the city to RNC delegates if given the chance.

Spaces released the first of seven online "Fixer" films aimed at introducing visitors coming for the Republican National Convention to aspects of Cleveland they might otherwise miss.
Produced by Cleveland artist Kate Sopko and directed by Tom Laffey, who grew up in Cleveland, the film explores how decreases in state funding of public transit have hit the Cleveland system.
Between 2002 and 2015, the state cut its funding of public transit from $43 million to $7.3 million, leaving Ohio investing only 1 percent of the state's transit, a far cry from the 20 percent other states invest in their transit systems.
"You've got thousands of people right here in this area who are for the most part held hostage by the lack of transport," Rutherford said in the film.
The Fixers project will be on display at the nonprofit Spaces gallery at 2220 Superior Viaduct through July 21 and will be accompanied by community screenings and dialogue.
