Anastasia Pantsios began photographing concerts as an offshoot of her theater photography, becoming the area’s most widely distributed music photographer by the late 1970s. Her work was distributed internationally for books, album covers, TV shows, ads, tour programs and publications. She has been in more than 50 exhibitions, including a 2017 solo show Girls to the Front: 40 Years of Women in Rock at the Rock Hall, and a solo show at BAYarts in 2025. She was also the go-to photographer for Northeast Ohio musicians for three decades. She was photographer for the Cleveland Opera from 1987-1995, shot professional wrestling shows across the country for national wrestling publications and promotions from 1985-1992, and has documented the Cleveland burlesque scene since 2011. Her current work reflects on how the urban environment evolves over time, especially focusing on disappearances and removals.
