Faye Hargate (she/her) creates semi-autobiographical theater performance and installation art. She has over 15 years of professional experience and has explored artistic roles: performer, educator, director, designer, and creator of devised theater. Faye specializes in developing original works in collaborative settings and has worked with Cleveland School of the Arts, Cleveland Institute of Art, Maelstrom Collaborative Arts (Theater Ninjas), and Rooms to Let. Faye was a staff member of Cleveland Public Theatre for 12 years, developing work with Cleveland Core Ensemble, Teatro Publico de Cleveland, and Masrah Cleveland Al-Arabi, and education programs: Cleveland Act Now (Brick City Theatre), and Student Theatre Enrichment Program. Faye is a graduate of Ecole Jacques Lecoq (Paris, France) and has performed in France and Portugal. Faye is a 2014 Creative Workforce Fellow and developed notable works She’s Wearing White… and Feefer Rising. Faye enjoys creating multidisciplinary, ephemeral experiences that explore female identity and sexuality.
