Gae Savannah makes sculpture from purchased goods, including plastics and textiles. (hair accessories, vinyl, cellophane, beads, plexiglass, mylar, Christmas ornaments, Asian footstools.) She has exhibited internationally at venues including: Stenersen Museum (Oslo), Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (CO), Gyeongnam Museum (Soeul), China Art Contemporary (Beijing), Palazzo delle Arti Napoli Museum (Naples), Bronx Museum, Mattatuck Museum (CT), Hunterdon Museum (NJ), Visual Arts Museum (NYC), Exit Art, Artists Space, Samson Projects (Boston) Chelsea Museum (NYC), Swope Museum (IN), Cynthia Broan Gallery, Rupert Ravens Nexxt (NJ), and Janet Kurnatowski Gallery. Her work has been reviewed in publications including: New York Times, Village Voice, Sculpture, Art.es, (Madrid), Artnet, Flavorpill, Angle, Art in America, Flash Art, Time Out, James Kalm RoughCut, and Animal magazine. MOCA North Miami, Artist of the Month (Dec.2012,) she has received grants from Charles P. Revson, Edward Zutrau, and Malka Lubelski Foundations.
