Julian Montague (b. 1973) lives and works in Buffalo, New York. A graduate of Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, he has shown work at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, Buffalo, New York; Black & White Gallery, Brooklyn, New York; The Light Factory, Charlotte, North Carolina; and SPACES, among others. He is the author of "The Stray Shopping Carts Of Eastern North America: A Guide to Field Identification," published by Abrams IMAGE in 2006, which won the Booksellers/Diagram Prize for Oddest Book Title in 2007.
In addition to his residency at SPACES, in 2002 he was in residence with the International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York, New York.
