Karen D. Beckwith received her BFA in printmaking from The Cleveland Institute of Art and earned the distinction of Master Printer Fellow from Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Working with collagraphs, lithography, screenprints, and collage, she creates immersive print-based experiences marked by technical skill and expressive range. Beckwith was the first out lesbian artist accepted into The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, an honor culminating in a solo exhibition surveying forty years of print work. She has exhibited locally and internationally, including Prints Kuroshio in Tainan, Taiwan, III Novosibirsk Graphic Art Triennial in Russia, Hedge Gallery and The Transformer Station in Cleveland. Her work is held in collections including The Cleveland Museum of Art, Tainan Art Museum, Progressive Art Collection, University Hospitals, TransDigm International, and the LGBTQ Center in Cleveland. She lives in Cleveland and continues developing work at K2 Art Studio and Ping Pong Press.
