Matt Barton received his BFA from Montana State University; Bozeman, MT in 2001 and his MFA from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA in 2006. He has worked as an assistant professor at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and as adjunct faculty at the Maine College of Art and Design and Carnegie Mellon University. Barton has exhibited solo and group works throughout the US, Italy and England.
