Morgan Craig's portrayal of light captures energy, movement, and a vivid sense of time and space. Craig received an MFA in Painting from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and a BFA in Painting with Teacher Certification from Tyler School of Art, Temple University Philadelphia. Craig has exhibited throughout the USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia, including OK Harris in New York City, SPACES in Cleveland, the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts and the AustralianNational University. He has received numerous awards including, the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant, the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant (2007, 2011), and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship for 2006 and 2008. He has also been invited to several residencies including, Cite Internationale des Arts, the Macdowell Colony, and Bemis Center for the Contemporary Arts. During the fall semester of 2010, he was the visiting artist at the Australian National University. Selections from his work were recently featured in several solo and group exhibitions, including the Delaware Museum of Art, Edinboro University, and the Pennsylvania College of Technology-Penn State. Craig has been featured in periodicals including New American Paintings, American Art Collector Magazine, and Direct Art Magazine. This summer he will be journeying to both the Blue Mountain Center in New York and Proekt Fabrika in Moscow, Russia for residencies, and will have a solo show in the fall at Elon University and Marshall University.
