Theresa Yondo was born in East Cleveland Ohio in 1958. A lifelong Ohioan, she now lives in Novelty with her husband Bruce Murphy.
Theresa began her clay journey in 1978 at a local community college which immediately ignited her passion for clay. She has a M.F.A from K.S.U. and has attended numerous workshops at such places as Penland, K.S.U and C.I.A.. Artist residencies include Starworks in N.C. and CWAL, Cleveland West Art League. Her work can be found in numerous private collections, purchase award at Ohio Craft Museum and has an extensive exhibition list and teaching career.
At Starworks in North Carolina, Theresa began working with wild clays. "I now work with many different clays, glazes and firing methods which has allowed great freedom to explore".
Evolving Earthy objects is a series of work which is currently being explored. Objects inspired by Earths Biosphere.
