Gregory Hatch

website

With a background in art history and a passion for personal narrative, Greg
Hatch is a fiber artist who explores how pattern, texture, and materials live in our memory (individual and collective) and recall experiences. Born in
Barberton, Ohio and currently living in Canal Fulton his work explores the
nature of desire, obsession, voyeurism, and longing. In past work he has
explored the communities, imagery, and social behaviors that form within
subcultures in the queer and kink community. He has begun research into
censorship and the idea of personal and private lives in contemporary
times. He wishes to create moments of connection and education through
his felting workshops. For a variety of skill levels, the workshops strive to make the medium approachable and fun while encouraging conversation and connection. He has been a speaker at the Radical Philosophy
Conference, SculptureX Symposium, Mid-Atlantic LGBTQA Conference,
Open Engagement, and Cleveland Leather Annual Weekend (CLAW).
