S. LeDonne is an interdisciplinary artist, currently residing in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
LeDonne's upbringing in rural Pennsylvania instilled an attitude of self-reliance for entertainment and a do-it-yourself ethic for the production of art and culture. They were heavily Influenced by the American subcultures of skateboarding, punk-rock, and zine-publishing.
LeDonne studied painting and sculpture at a small university, California University of Pennsylvania, and upon graduating moved to Pittsburgh.
LeDonne kept a studio at Radiant Hall and exhibited their work regularly in solo and group exhibitions. During this time LeDonne developed their signature style of original poetic compositions hand-drawn on canvas. LeDonne was diagnosed with OCD, and much of their early text work f with mental health, love, and loss, often in bittersweet phrasing. A catholic upbringing, as well as gender expansiveness have as well been influential in LeDonne's work.
They've produced work for Fallingwater, Wyndham Tryp Hotel, and Creative Nonfiction Magazine. Most recently LeDonne has been working on a large scale curation and acquisition project, building a collection of work by LGBTQ artists for a private institution, in addition to writing about the creative process, parenting, and what inspires them.
