SPACES, a non-profit artist-centered organization recognizes the importance of accessible space(s) for member artists and mission-adjacent non-profits.

Due to the experimental nature of our exhibitions, it's difficult to predict the exact type of show, layout, or capacity of the gallery during show periods. We recommend a maximum of 200 seated guests. If having art as a central element is important to your event, a gallery rental may be a great fit—otherwise, we suggest considering this uncertainty before booking.

SPACES offers the use of our 2 Galleries and Mistake Lab (conference room), totaling approximately 4,000 square feet.
Rental Hours
SPACES is open to the public Wednesday - Saturday 12pm-5pm. During these hours, feel free to stop by and look around to see if SPACES will be a good fit for your event. The gallery is closed to the public in between exhibitions, so please double check our website before stopping by for a visit.
Just another friendly reminder, please schedule an appointment via email at events@spacescle.org about 2 weeks in advance. In the comment section of the above form, please indicate that you are requesting an in-person visit and our Rental Coordinator will be happy to meet with you.
Street parking is available in the neighborhood. Local lots are available for your guests for $150 per event, per lot. Lot sizes and locations vary and usage depends on availability.
What artwork will be on exhibit during my event? Unfortunately, due to the nature of our artist projects it is hard to predict exactly what their exhibition will look like until the installation is complete. Therefore we strongly recommend that only those truly interested in having art as the centerpiece of their event consider a rental of the gallery.
Are we allowed to decorate the walls and ceiling? No, since we are an exhibiting gallery, we do not allow any decorations that could interfere with the art on display. You are permitted to decorate the Mistake Lab (conference room) as long as everything is removed at the end of the event and it does not interfere with our alarm system.
Are we allowed to decorate the bathroom? Yes, but everything must be removed that same night during clean-up.
Cash Bar vs. Open Bar? Our Rental Coordinator will be able to answer any questions you may have in regards to serving alcohol at your event.
Do we need to have event insurance? Yes, in order to host your event at SPACES you will need to add SPACES as a rider for your event insurance. This can be done through your home owner's insurance, renter's insurance, and in some instances, auto insurance. Please check with your insurance provider for more details.

SPACES is open to the public on Weds-Sat 12-5 PM
SPACES has stops from busses 26 and 71 right out front.
22, 25, 45, and 51 all also stop nearby at West 25 and Detroit.
